2027 Klamath Music Performer Introductions

PLEASE READ, BEFORE APPLYING

Application Deadline:  Sunday, November 1, 2026 by 5pm (Pacific)

Klamath Music invites musical artists, bands, and performers to introduce themselves for consideration in our 2027 programming. This form helps us learn about your music, technical needs, and interest in participating in one of our upcoming events.

Please review the information below before applying, so you can complete the form accurately. Several fields in this application are required and must be completed. We also understand that not all applicants are at the same level professionally and that not every section applies to every artist. The more information you provide, the easier it is for our team to understand your work, make thoughtful programming decisions, and prepare for a smooth booking process if you are selected. Additionally, your responses are creating the foundation of a thorough electronic press kit (EPK) that may help you find performance opportunities beyond our own — for that reason, we strongly encourage you to save your work for future use.

(If you are newer to the booking process and run into unfamiliar industry terms, please refer to our GLOSSARY HERE to help you complete this application accurately.)

Not all acts will be selected. Some bookings may occur outside the application process, as Klamath Music reserves the right to book talent directly as needed based on venue fit, program needs, and ecosystem priorities.

Eligibility

• All genres welcome to apply. (Please Note: while Klamath Music actively advocates for ongoing genre expansion, final decisions depend on venue receptiveness and fit.)

• We strongly encourage all‑ages appropriate material, free of overtly political or divisive content, as our events and partner venues are intentionally designed to bring people together, create connection, and offer a rare space where the community can build bridges through music. Acts with explicit content may still apply, but they may not be a fit for most programs or for the venues we rely on, as many of our partners choose to maintain family‑friendly environments based on their business model and audience expectations. Additionally, our events typically must be held in performance‑rights‑licensed venues to remain copyright compliant, which limits where we can legally host live music.

• Original material encouraged but not required. If performing covers, please make them your own.

• Solo acts, small groups, and bands welcome.

• Under‑18 applicants require guardian acknowledgement.

• Previous performers welcome to apply.

Programming Philosophy

Klamath Music does not select artists solely based on technical skill or “most talented” status. We prioritize performers who help create connection, foster welcoming experiences, and support our mission of building bridges through music in the Klamath Basin. We also ensure that local artists have meaningful representation across our event programs, as strengthening the Basin’s music ecosystem is central to our mission and local performers play an essential role in creating connection and shared experience.

2027 PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

The Klamath Stage: A multi‑month showcase series typically featuring two acts per event, held at partner venues across the Basin. The series highlights local talent, welcomes touring artists, and features venues that provide homes for live music in the Klamath Basin that uphold musicians’ intellectual property rights through proper licensing.

Under Klamath Skies: A collaborative cultural program with the Klamath County Museum and partner nonprofits, blending live music, art, and local history. Events typically occur twice a year — spring and fall.

Festival Update: Thanks to the incredible support of the community, Klamath Music’s year‑round work in the Basin continues to grow significantly. To steward that growth and take a vital, timely next step toward delivering long‑requested services in the Basin, the Klamath Music Festival is currently on pause.

Our 2026 festival was a tremendous success, but the momentum of our ongoing programs continues to accelerate, and community needs are increasing. Concurrently, the time, resources, financial investment, and logistics required to produce an annual festival with excellence have expanded significantly—requiring us to decline opportunities throughout the year that could have made a meaningful difference for musicians and audiences alike.

This strategic pause allows us to rise to meet growing demand and focus our efforts where they have the greatest immediate impact—supporting artists, venues, and program partners throughout the entire year. It also gives us time and space to build key ecosystem elements that pave the way for a future sustainable festival, while contributing to the growth of numerous community events across the Basin in the meantime.

Watch for some exciting news on this front in early 2027!

Under Klamath Skies Considerations

Under Klamath Skies events typically feature artists with a meaningful connection to the Klamath Basin—local roots, family or community ties, past residency, recurring performances, or an established local audience. Touring artists with a local following are welcome to apply.

Community Scale & Rates

Klamath Music welcomes artists from across the country, but produces community‑scale events typically drawing 150–400 attendees, depending on venue and program. Many of our events are free or low‑cost to the community, which is central to our mission of expanding access to live music in the Basin.

As a rural nonprofit, our artist fees reflect the scale of these events. We encourage artists to submit reasonable, community‑aligned rates. Rates may vary by program, venue, and event type.

Selection Timeline

• The Klamath Stage: Mid to Late November 2026

• Under Klamath Skies: December 2026
